Pick Up and Drive
When buying a brand new wheelchair accessible vehicle, the chances are there will be a long wait time before you hand over money and being able to drive away. With new vehicles, your car might not be in stock, it may have to be built to your specifications at the factory, or you may have to go through a lengthy conversion process in order for the vehicle to support a wheelchair user. Buying a second-hand WAV avoids all this wait time and means you can choose the right one for you and drive it away as soon as you like or have it delivered by one of our team.

Value for Money
As it’s commonly known, a new car can lose up to 20% of its value as soon as you drive out of the showroom, meaning you instantly lose money!

Buying a second-hand WAV is different to buying a normal second-hand vehicle. Firstly, the mileage on a used WAV is often much lower compared to when looking at used standard model cars. So, although you’re paying a much lower price for the car, you’re still getting a quality vehicle that should last you a long time.

Brand new cars are expensive as it is, but especially when you consider the additional cost of any conversions and adaptions. Buying second-hand also means you don’t have to pay these additional prices, and the WAV should be good to go with the adaptions already installed.

Tried and Tested
Not only are the adaptions already installed in a second-hand car, but they’ve also been tried and tested! Getting a brand new conversion can often mean there are unknown impacts to the car’s operating ability with lots of added extras and pieces being stripped out. Buying second-hand wheelchair accessible vehicle means that these potential issues and teething troubles have been solved and that the WAV is reliable.

Good as New
Buying a second-hand WAV doesn’t mean you need to compromise on the standard of the vehicle either. As we mentioned, the mileage on a used WAV is often much lower compared to when looking at used standard model cars, but used WAVs also tend to be better taken care of too. Wheelchair users and their careers are often heavily reliant on their accessible vehicles, so they are driven especially carefully to avoid both unnecessary damage to the vehicle and threatening the condition of the wheelchair user.
